What is precum stain?

Precum (pre-ejaculate fluid) is a clear, viscous fluid that is released from the penis during sexual arousal. It is produced by the Cowper's gland and serves to lubricate the urethra and neutralize any acidic urine residue in the urethra.

Precum stains can occur on clothing or bedding during sexual activity or even just from arousal. They can be difficult to remove because the fluid contains proteins, enzymes, and salts that can leave behind stubborn stains.

To remove precum stains, it is recommended to pre-treat the affected area with a stain remover or laundry detergent and then wash the clothing or bedding in warm water. It may also be helpful to use an enzyme-based stain remover or soak the stain in a mixture of vinegar and water before washing.

It is important to note that while precum itself does not contain sperm, it can sometimes pick up sperm left in the urethra from a previous ejaculation, leading to a risk of pregnancy or transmission of sexually transmitted infections. It is always safest to use protection during sexual activity.
